Anantkumar Hegde stands as a vibrant force in Indian politics, having been elected six times since 1996 by the people of Uttara Kannada to represent them in the Indian Parliament. In 2017, he was appointed Union Minister of State in the Government of India, where he contributed significantly to national policymaking and leadership.
