ELECTORAL TRUST

ANANT KUMAR DATTATREYA HEGDE

(a) whether certain companies operational in the country have established electoral trusts since implementation of the Companies Act, 2013;

(b) if so, the details thereof, company-wise;

(c) whether the said companies have provided funds to the political parties through these trusts; and

(d) if so, the details thereof, company-wise?

 (a) to (b):- As per information provided by the Central Board of Direct Taxes, certain business groups operational in the country have established Electoral Trust companies under the Electoral Trust Scheme, 2013. The details of approved Electoral Trust companies are given in the Annex.

(c) to (d):- Such information is not maintained by Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) or the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in a centralized manner.
