VACANT LAND HOLDINGS OF DDA 

(a) whether an internal survey held by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) recently has revealed that the authority owned 5484 acres of undeveloped tracts in the city and if so, the details thereof, location-wise; 

 (b) whether about 1500 acres of additional land was located after the said survey and if so, the facts thereof; 

(c) the time since when the plots were lying vacant, location-wise; 

(d) the details of DDA land under litigation and encroachment; and   

(e) the steps taken by DDA to develop the above land and the mechanism put in place to facilitate monitoring and protection from encroachment ?

(a) to (e) : A statement is laid on the Table of the Sabha.   

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 210 FOR 11.03.2015 REGARDING VACANT LAND HOLDINGS OF DDA.

  (a) & (b): Yes Madam. Internal survey by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) revealed that a total number of 1,752 plots having an area of 7,354 acres (approx.) land are lying vacant/un-allotted. The location wise details of these plots have been uploaded on the DDA website at http://dda.org.in/ddanew/vacantlistld.aspx. 

(c) :DDA has informed that time since when these plots are lying vacant varies from plot to plot depending upon the scheme under which the plots were carved out. 

(d) :DDA has furnished the details of land under litigation and encroachment which are as under: Zone Encroached Partly Encroached Under Litigation (Size in Acre)(Size in Acre)(Size in Acre) 

 

(e) :DDA has informed that disposal of developed land/ plots is done as per DDA (Disposal of Developed Nazul Land) Rules, 1981. For un-acquired but yet to be developed land, DDA takes up developmental works as per the approved layout plans which are prepared according to the provisions of Master Plan 2021. DDA has constituted Quick Response Teams (QRTs) under the Zonal Chief Engineers for the protection and constant vigil of vacant land. Each QRT team is headed by an Assistant Engineer with Security Guards and has been provided with the requisite infrastructure for this purpose. The photographs of developed plots are also being uploaded on ’Cloud Based Plots Monitoring System’, an application system prepared exclusively for monitoring and protection from encroachment.
