GROWTH RATE OF AGRICULTURE

(a) whether the Government proposes to estimate annual growth rate of agriculture during the year 2014-15; and

(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b):The Central Statistics Office (CSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation estimates, annual growth rates for various economic activities including agriculture. CSO has released the first Advance Estimates of Growth Rate during the year 2014- 15 on 9th February,2015.

The estimated growth rate for agriculture and allied sectors during 2014-15 at 2-11-12 basic prices is 1.1 percent.
