CONNECTING OF NHS

(a)whether some of the districts in the country are yet to be connected with the National Highways;

(b)if so, the details thereof, State-wise along with the pending projects in this regard; and

(c)measures taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to connect all the districts with National Highways in the country?

ANSWER

 (a) to (c)Government has connected all the district headquarters of the country, which are more than about 10 Km away from existing NH network with NH network except a few districts of the States of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Ministry has requested the concerned State Governments to send detailed proposal for providing connectivity to the district headquarters with NH network.
