ONLINE EDUCATION BY FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES
(a) whether a number of foreign universities have arranged for imparting online education of their syllabus in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether these universities are charging a hefty amount as fees from its students;
(d) if so, the details thereof along with the names of such universities functioning in the country and the countries to which they belong;
(e) whether these syllabi are recognied in India; and
(f) if not, the action taenbeing taen by the Government in this regard?
ANSWER

(a)to(f): The Government has not allowed any such foreign university to operate in India. Although online study material from different sources is available on the internet, foreign institutions are not allowed to award degrees in India.
