HEALTH POLICY 

(a) whether the Planning Commission has urged his Ministry to effect certain changes in the existing health policy from the Twelfth Five Year Plan onwards; 

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; 

(c) whether any alternative policy has also been suggested by the Planning Commission in this regard;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the names of the countries where the said alternative policy is in force; and 

(e) whether any foreign aid is liely to be required for implementation of the said policy in the country and if so, the details thereof? 

ANSWER

(a) Planning Commission has held extensive consultations with Staeholders through the process of woring groups and Steering Committee etc. Howver, the 12th Plan document which will interalia contain strategies for Health and requires approval of the National Development Council has not been finalized.
