TARGETS FIXED UNDER PMGSY

Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) whether targets fixed for construction of rural roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) were achieved during the last three years and the current year;

(b) if so, the details thereof, State/ UT-wise; and

(c) if not, the time by which the targets fixed are likely to be achieved?

(a) to (c): Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), during the last three years (i.e 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16) against the target of constructing 82,374 km road length, 98102.53 km road length has been constructed (119 %). During the current year 2016-17 against the target of constructing 48,812 km road length, 40,010.37 km road length has been constructed as on 28.2.2017. State-wise, year-wise details are at Annexure.
