EPORT TO EUROPEAN COUNTRIES 

(a) the details of the total exports to various European countries during each of the last three years; 

(b) the details of the ten most exported commodities to the various European countries during the said period; 

(c) whether the exports from India to European countries has perceptibly increased between April, 2011 and December, 2011;

  (d) if so, the details thereof; 

(e) whether this increase in net exports was higher as compared to the exports during the said period in the previous years; and 

(f) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto? 

ANSWER

(a) The exports to European Countries in the year 2008-0, 200-10 and 2010-11 were US  2.08 billion, US 38.53 billion and US  50.66 billion respectively. 

(b) The ten most exported commodities to the various European countries during the year 2010-11 were Petroleum oils, Diamonds, Motor Cars, Footwear, Flat-rolled products of Iron, Readymade Garments, Printed Circuit Boards, Medicaments for Threputic Prophyletic Uses, Parts & Accessories of the Motor Vehicles and Electrical Apparatus for Line Telephony. 

 (c)&(d) The exports to Europe in April, 2011and December, 2011 have increased by .01 Details of which are given below:

(e)&(f) Yes, Madam. Due to sustained efforts of the Government and demand, exports to Europe have seen an overall growth.
