SEPARATE LAW FOR CYBER CRIME

(a) whether the Government proposes to bring a separate law to deal the cyber related crimes in the country;

(b) if so, the reaction of Government thereto; and

(c) the time by which it is likely to be implemented?

(a): No, Sir. The Information Technology Act, 2000 has been amended by the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008 w.e.f. 27.10.2009. The amended Act is a comprehensive Act and addresses all prevailing forms of cyber crimes.

(b) and (c): Do not arise.
