(SHRI HARISH RAWAT)

 (a) to (c): As per the information received from ILO, Sub Regional Office, New Delhi, there is no specific report entitled Social Impact of Economic Slowdown brought out by ILO. However, ILO has prepared various documents on the economic slowdown and its impact for submission to its different forums such as International Labour Conference and the Governing Body Sessions. These document recommend the measures to accelerate employment, jobs recovery combined with social protection system etc. apart from construction of a stronger, globally consistent supervisory and regulatory framework for the financial sector. These documents have also been studied by the Ministry of Labour & Employment and Government of India had already taken various initiatives by announcing fiscal and monetary measures in respect of social security for unorganised workers, skill development, social dialogue etc. A Tripartite Expert Group on Social Response to Economic Slowdown has been formed apart from an Inter-Ministerial Group to monitor the impact of economic slowdown.
