Repair of Navodaya Vidyalaya 

3680. SHRI ANANTKUMAR HEGDE:

Will the Minister of HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) whether a number of Navodaya Vidyalaya buildings in Uttar Pradesh particularly in Western Uttar Pradesh need repairing;

(b) if so, the district-wise details of the schools along with the date on which the decision for repairing was taken;

(c) whether the repairing work of these schools is likely to be completed during rainy season; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(SHRI UPENDRA KUSHWAHA)

(a) & (b) School buildings of 12 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in Uttar Pradesh (UP) (including 3 in Western UP) have been identified as requiring special repairs. A statement showing the district wise details is annexed.

(c) & (d) Completion of repair work depends upon availability of funds, mobilization of required resources, geographical location of the concerned JNVs etc.
