Minister Belagavi needs multilingual training centre

BELAGAVI: Belagavi needs a multi-lingual training centre which can help generate jobs abroad, said Anant Kumar Hegde , Union minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship.Addressing industrialists at Belagavi Foundry Cluster (BFC) here on Monday, he said “English is not the world. Also, Belagavi district has the highest number of sugar factories.MP Suresh Angadi , Manish Kumar, CEO of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), president of Belgaum Foundry Cluster Ram Bhandare, president of Indian Institute Foundrymen (Belagavi Chapter) and Parag Bhandare were present. Every country wants skilled labourers who can speak their language,” he explained.He called upon Belagavi residents to give suggestions and plans to prepare the roadmap for the t ransformation of Belagavi with a specific timeline. Japan wants 40,000 nurses while Netherlands want 25,000 engineers from India. He said Belagavi is known for its foundries and hydraulic industries and called for suggestions in bringing high technology to these industries.Anant Kumar said a cargo terminal can be possible in Belagavi as there is large manufacturing of engineering products, besides horticulture and agriculture produces.
